Armenian Federation delivers seminar addressed to coaches and PE teachers

The Volleyball Federation of Armenia (VFA) delivered on Friday a seminar specifically addressed to Volleyball coaches and people working at the entry level of the game, doing so at the premises of the secondary school of the Geghashen community in Kotayk region in another action run in conjunction with the CEV School Project.

A large number of physical education teachers, sports coaches from different cities of the region, and other representatives of the local schools attended the clinic delivered by Karen Asmaryan, Secretary General of the VFA, and Grigori Ambaryan, Senior Lecturer of the ASIPCS. The programme included theoretical and practical classes, with the attendees enjoying this opportunity to ask many questions and receive further explanations on how to work to grow the game.

The main topics of the theoretical lesson were the rules of the game, the selection method in Volleyball, as well as information about the technical tricks. During the practical session, the participants could familiarise with the sports equipment used in modern Volleyball, the right sequence of teaching technical tricks, as well as exercises for teaching technical skills and much more.

After the seminar, the participants received certificates issued by the VFA for participating in the programme, with letters of thanks presented to school principal Naira Babayan and physical education teacher Andranik Tadevosyan for supporting the organisation of the seminar.

In his speech, the Secretary General of the VFA noted that thanks to the CEV School Volleyball programme, the Federation has been running a large number of such clinics for young pupils as well as coaches and physical education teachers across the Caucasus country.

The participants of the seminar expressed their satisfaction and gratitude to the organisers of such a valuable educational opportunity.
