Teams are ready for last EuroVolley battles in Budapest

Budapest, Hungary, August 31, 2019. The EuroVolley campaign in Budapest goes on, even if the Hungarian team are already out of the competition. The two best teams from Pool C, so the unbeaten Netherlands and Azerbaijan along with two freshly arrived from Ankara – Greece and Bulgaria, met with media representatives sharing their thoughts and feelings before the Round of 16. Every team dreams about the ticket to Ankara, where the EuroVolley 2019 finals will be held next week.

The team under the guidance of coach Andrei Ojamets are competing for the first time ever at the EuroVolley and even though they are still seeking for their first win, they have already showed some great Volleyball and won the fans hearts!

Germany finish pool phase with five wins, Turkey and Serbia go for ‘big match’

Luxembourg, August 28, 2019. Germany are the first team to complete the group stage of CEV EuroVolley 2019 Women with a perfect record of five wins in as many matches as they secured the top spot in Pool D by routing Belarus. Serbia and Turkey have four wins each to their name in Pool A and on Thursday night, they will go for a major showdown to define who takes the first place in the group. Belgium sensationally beat Poland 3-2 in Lodz, while Croatia and Azerbaijan secured their qualification to the next round courtesy of their wins over Hungary and Estonia in Pool C. Hungary are on the brink of elimination and they have to hope for a miracle to happen on Thursday when the pool phase ends with the last set of eight matches.

Summer Festival inspires Armenian kids to play Beach Volleyball

Lake Sevan, Armenia, August 26, 2019. Maria Resort in Gegharkunik province, just nearby Lake Sevan, played host to a CEV Beach Volleyball Summer Festival, featuring children from the youth sports schools of Yerevan, Gavar, Hnaberd and Sevan. The Volleyball Federation of Armenia had been preparing for the event for more than a week.
