Russia wins World League for third time

Mar del Plata, Argentina, July 21, 2013. Olympic champions Russia became the third country after Brazil and Italy to win three or more World League titles after an impressive 3-0 (25-23, 25-19, and 25-19) win over nine-time winners Brazil in the 2013 FIVB Volleyball World League final on Sunday.

Poland and Lithuania advance to final stage of Youth Continental Cup

The Zonal Phase tournament – Pool E scheduled this weekend for the inaugural CEV Youth Beach Volleyball Continental Cup came to a close on Sunday in Estonia’s most popular beach seaside resort, Pärnu. The young players from Estonia, Lithuania, Hungary and Poland joining the competition whose finals will assign next year the spots available to compose Europe’s contingent for the 2014 Youth Olympics in Nanjing, China could enjoy perfect weather conditions as it was sunny almost through the complete weekend in Pärnu.
