EEVZA U18 Beach Volleyball Championship to start soon in Kharkiv

Kharkiv, Ukraine, July 20, 2018. The 2018 edition of the EEVZA U18 Beach Volleyball Championship is taking place this weekend in the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv. It is the third straight year that the city of Kharkiv hosts an international Beach Volleyball competition, after Gorkyy Park previously welcomed a stop of the EEVZA Beach Volleyball Tour and a CEV Satellite in 2016 and 2017, respectively. Nonetheless, it is the very first time that the EEVZA U18 Beach Volleyball Championship takes place on Ukrainian soil.

With a day to spare in the first phase of the finals, Russia, USA and Brazil have all advanced to the semi-finals of the 2018 FIVB Men’s Volleyball Nations League - leaving France and Serbia to battle it out on the last day of pool play, Friday, for the last remaining berth. Friday’s results will also determine the order the qualified teams finish in their pools, to set up the semi-finals pairings.

Belarus and Germany proceed to 2018 CEV U19 Volleyball European Championship - Women  Final Round

Luxembourg, July 1, 2018.  Belarus finished their outstanding campaign in Pool H of the qualifiers for #EuroVolleyU19W with a straight 3-0 win over Romania. The players headed by Natallia Melianiuk booked their ticket to the Finals of the 2018 CEV U19 Volleyball European Championship – Women on Saturday already, but on the last day of the qualification tournament they did not refrain from showing their best and displayed some high-speed Volleyball again. The other team from Pool H that will compete in the Final Round is Germany, who claimed a 3-0 victory over Norway and qualified as second best team from that group. In Pool I (that took place from June 28 to June 30), Slovakia and the Netherlands finished in first and second place respectively and will be taking part in the Final Round of #EuroVolleyU19W which is due to take place in early September in Albania.
