Vladimir Putin pays visit to “Sport Inn” Beach Volleyball complex in Sochi

Sochi, Russia, October 10, 2017. A few days ago, the Volleyball Federation of Russia (VFR) had the honour to welcome the President of the Russian Federation, Mr Vladimir Putin to the sports and recreation complex “Sport Inn” in Sochi. This first-class venue offers the very best conditions for the organisation of Beach Volleyball competitions and training camps.

 

The “Sport Inn” complex hosted, inter alia, the Russian Beach Volleyball Championship Finals in 2017 and many international Beach Volleyball competitions, including the CEV Beach Volleyball Continental Cup, the FIVB Sochi Open, as well as the 2016 FIVB World Continental Cup Olympic Qualification – which qualified the last spots for the Beach Volleyball competition of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. 



The representatives of the Russian Volleyball Federation provided Mr Putin with information about the sports complex, before visiting the Beach Volleyball centre court and the swimming pool and gym, which belong to the complex as well. The President also briefly talked with members of the Russian national Beach Volleyball team and their coaches.



Mr Nikolay Patrushev – Secretary of the National Security Council and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Volleyball Federation of Russia, Stanislav Shevchenko – VFR President and Andrey Gorbenko – VFR General Director accompanied Mr Putin during his tour of the venue.
