Belarus national team hold open training with youngsters ahead of friendlies

Tuesday 14th of May 2019

Minsk, Belarus, May 14, 2019. On Wednesday, May 15, the men’s national team of Belarus will take off to Latvia for some friendly matches. Before that, they held an open training with kids, which was a fun time for both adults and children. The young Volleyball players learned many secrets while the national team just had a fun time and an emotional rest. Before that, Team Belarus had a few weeks of training camp and hard work.

During the training, Belarus head coach Viktar Beksha divided kids and national team players into pairs. At the end, kids enjoyed the opportunity to work with a service machine. This was one of the most amazing moments for these youngsters. One of them, Alexander Tolochko, said, “It was a great experience! The national team players showed us what to strive for; my favourite player is Siarhei Busel but I want to play on the libero position in the future. We have tried to work with the service machine today, and I even had a few successful attempts.”

Belarus men’s national team started their training camp on May 6 at Raubichi sports complex. After the friendly matches with Latvia, they will relocate to Chyzhovka-Arena, where their home European Golden League matches will be taking place.

This time, the team will perform without some of their main players. Belarus star Artur Udrys (opposite), young talent Uladzislau Davyskiba (outside-spiker) and middle-blocker Ilya Burau are all out due to injuries.
